FS-V31 is one of the best products of Keyance. It is an optical sensor which has various features which can be used to counter various kind of issues such as dust, vibration, short lifespan, broken fiberoptic sensor and so on.

The long detecting distance of the sensor is achieved through one of the features called Mega Power. The beam emitted from the light source is 64 times stronger than the conventional fiberoptic sensors. Together with an attached lens o the fiberoptic head, the sensor can reach a detecting distance of 3.2 meters which is extremely long. Having a long detecting distance does not mean it has to be used or mounted at a far distance. If the transmitter and receiver of sensor, especially thrubeam, are placed in close range, it will increase increase the total amount of light receive tremendously. This can be used prevent minor dust issue. As dust gathered on the surface of the optical sensor head, it will normally affect the stability of the sensor. However, because of the strong beam emitted by Keyence optic sensor, it is able to penetrate the dust easily and still provide good detection.

Other than this feature, another distinguish feature is the DSC function. DSC is acronym for dynamic stability control. To make it easier to understand, it is actually an auto-tuning feature. The sensor will automatically adjust the setting base on the dynamic changes of environment such as dust, mist or vapour. As dust accumulated on the surface of the sensor, Mega Power will compensate that problem. But if too much of dust, Mega power together with DSC will do the trick. Even with dust accumulation as thick as your thumb size will give no problem to the sensor. It actually greatly reduce the donwtime of machines due to lower maintenance work required.

Another advantage of the above features is the ability to prolong the usage or lifespan of a fiberoptic head. Any sensor head which uses FS-V31 will increase it's lifespan at least 5 times. If you are using a thrubeam sensor and suffering high maintenance due to broken fiber head, then you should consider using 'Keyence Fiberoptic Amplfier'. A lot of manufacturers use a single core fiberoptic cable which actually affected by excessive bending. With the usage of FS-v31, it wont be a concern as DSC and Mega power will settle it. I wont be explaining too much in detail why this can be done but, it can really be done. The simple thing to remember is, if your company uses a lot of fiber sensor, then use it with Keyance fiberoptic sensor amplifier, FS-V31. You will save a huge load of budget for maintenance part.

Lastly, I can say that any human being on the earth are able to use or learn to use this product in less than a day time. Press set once without the object, and press set again with the presence of the object. The sensor will than auto calibrate the threshold.
